Time to plant your fall garden. In the Florida panhandle we planted Swiss Chard, Lettuce, Kale, Spinach, Broccoli and Radishes. The radishes are quick to grow so we planted half in late August and the rest we will plant the third week in Sep. Contact your County Agriculture Office or Extension Horticulture office. They have a wealth of information. Especially helpful of what to plant and what NOT to plant and when. We also planted Solar Fire, a variety of tomato that does up well even in heat. There are other veggies that you can plant now as well. Mustard, bulbing onions, cauliflower, collards and beets. With limited space in our micro-garden, we chose the veggies that we like best.
